On p. 225 of “The Universal Christ”, Richard Rohr describes salvation as simply having the “mind of Christ”, referring to (1 Cor. 2:16). (Philippians 2) further describes “being of the same mind as Christ” as sharing in Christ’s spirit of compassion, joy, love, selflessness, and humility. Adopting these characteristics would be a wholesome transformation for many of us into living the best of lives. As we sing this chant we are praying our intention and openness to become more completely like the Universal Christ.
